Litter Robot - Night light keeps activating

Hi

We got our Little Robot 3 Open Air yesterday and at least 1 cat out of 4 is already using it!
We are keeping it turned off and only cycle manually until the Cats are more comfortable with the unit.

This morning I ran the cycle but then a few minuttes later I noticed the blue night light going on and off while no Cats where nearby. The light attracted the cats and they came to view the lightshow at a safe distance.

I did a quick video which is available at my onedrive: 1drv.ms/v/s!AmnIQ81UCDHth3Bbsz_IZ79_4aOE
(I tried uploaded it but then the webpage stopped responding and I had to redo this post)

The sensors seem really really sensitive(we do buy our local premium clumping and anti dust litter) but I’m not sure what they are reacting too.

I only noticed the problem because it is still dark late in the morning this time of year and if I turned on the house light the night light wont activate.
20 minutes after I took the video it was still going on and off but now the natural light inside the house is too bright and the nightlight is no longer activated.

After 10 minutes I would feel that any dust disturbance would have settled so I don’t understand why the night light is still going on and off after 20 minutes.

The status of the Night Light function can be checked at any time by covering the light sensor, located above the ‘Cycle’ button on the Control Panel, to see if the Night Light comes on or not. Since the Night Light sensor is on the control panel, it does seem there’s not enough light hitting the control panel.
If you want, you can simply turn the night light off by holding the power button for more than 5 seconds.

Hi MThibault

Thank you for replying.

After watching the littler robot for an evening I learned that the night light is suppose to be ON all night.
The manuel doesn’t say this and I checked and rechecked while puzzling this out. It just states that the night light will turn on and off automatically and I assumed this ment it would be trickkered by the cat sensor and not just by the light sensor.

Rereading the manuel afterwards it all made perfect sense and now I just feel Silly for posting.
Knowing the light is only trickkered by the light sensor it is completely understandable why it would turn itself on and off during dusk til dawn hours.
