Litter-robot issue Blue >Yellow

Hi Ebram!

I have the exact same problem as described above:
The blue light is slowly flashing and if I try to cycle or reset, the yellow light will rapidly flash until I press reset again.

What we tried:

  • unplugged the whole robot for a couple of minutes
  • Cleaned the pinch pins (those metal things that are correctly touching each other)
  • Followed your tip to clean the circuit boards with isopropyl alcohol. One of those was extremely dusty and my suspicion is, that it’s causing the issue - even after cleaning!

We only have this robot since about two months - so it is still under warranty, and I also wonder how we can avoid this issue in the future (given that we manage to actually fix it) - I sure don’t want to try and order extra pieces every other month.

The serial number of our robot is: LR3CI519123
Firmware is 1.0.2:B

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

It seems that you are using a dusty brand of litter because it’s unusual for the sensor to be covered in dust this fast.

In this case, we will send you a new DFI sensor and you can follow this video to help you replace it:

To avoid having this issue in the future, you will need to clean the sensor and the metal contact pins regularly to remove any rust or dust from them.

Oh no that is a difficult one…
I would be willing to pay an extra fee to cover your shipping cost and other extraordinary charges. Do you think you can somehow ship it to Switzerland when covered the cost from my side?
