Hi,
I have a Litter Robot III Open air and have a weird one with flashing lights… PLEASE DO NOT post the standard troubleshooting in reply because I know what the lights mean but they are not in the sequence and the actual fix does not work!
So the blue light flashes slowly, indicating drawer full. It’s not as it’s empty - and yes it’s on an even surface and it’s stable. When I press reset, it immediately starts the yellow light flashing quickly, indicating the pinch feature is activated. This is incorrect as the robot doesn’t even move to start a cycle. Press reset again and I get the slow flashing blue light again … and you can repeat this sequence for hours!!! Always the same!
I replaced the pinch sensors with limited success… it worked for a couple of days and then went back to doing exactly the same sequence of lights:
Slow blue flashing > press reset > quick yellow flashing > press reset > slow blue flashing.
To confident, before it is suggested (as I have scoured other posts on this and not found this exact sequence reported):
Pinch sensors are brand new
Yes they are fitted correctly and touching
The ENTIRE unit has been cleaned and checked to ensure nothing causes blockage
The unit is stable
This sequence happens as soon as it is switched on
It is used by four cats of different weights - 3 of them are actually never detected by the unit and never have been (we assume too light)
It WILL NOT cycle or even attempt to, the only responsive buttons are ‘reset’ as above or power button.
So before I go insane at scooping after every cat and facing mountains of poo each morning… how do I fix this?
