Hello, I believe our sensor needs to be replaced. Our landlord was having new windows installed and they tripped the breakers. Since then, our litter robot has not worked correctly. It flashes blue and when I press reset, it flashes yellow quickly. I have made sure the metal sensors are touching, cleaned the entire machine, tried to reset by holding down the power button. The nightlight is also flashes whenever the room is dark.
Please advise. I can’t seem to find our order email to provide the order number.
We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.
Please provide us with the email address, phone number, or username that was used to order the robot to help you locate the order number.
As for the issue with the blue light:
Have you tried to clean the 2 green circuit boards of the DFI sensor with isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip to remove any rust or dust from them?
As for the nightlight issue:
Please remove the power from the robot and unclip the bonnet. Inside the bonnet, you will see 2 wires connected to a small circuit. Make sure the wires are well connected to the circuit.
If that is working fine, then the problem is probably with the connection between the base and the bonnet. Have a look at this video: Litter-Robot 3 Stops Mid-Cycle - YouTube
Also, there are two connection metal pins between the base and bonnet. Some customers use WD-40 to clean them to make better contact:
The issue started when the breakers for the house, the electrical fuses, were tripped and the electricity to the house was suddenly turned off. It has not worked since. I think it damaged or shorted some part of the electrical system in the litter robot. We have only had the machine for maybe six months so there should not be any rust dust that I can think of.
