Litter Robot DFI and Anti Pinch lights flashing

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

Litter Robot DFI and Anti Pinch lights flashing.

After completing a cycle the blue light flashes to indicate the drawer is full but it is definitely not. When pressing Reset the yellow light blinks fast.

Hardware concerned: Litter Robot

Software concerned: None

Troubleshooting steps already taken:

Have dismantled and cleaned around DFI sensors and have also cleaned anti pinch metal connections and made sure they are touching.

Additional information: I did originally have this issue with my first robot, replacement parts were sent out and all then worked perfectly. I have since purchased a second litter robot (I have multiple cats) and now the second one is behaving in exactly the same way. I have taken this one apart and cleaned again but the problem persists. I understand my new litter robot is still under warranty - please can you tell me who to contact to get additional support? Thanks!

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hello @LPFigwort,

Welcome back to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your new Litter-Robot.

Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice for this robot.

This issue indeed indicates a defective DFI sensor and it needs to be replaced.

When you check the Anti-Pinch pins, were they clean or a bit rusty still?

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi,

Thanks for replying. We ordered through Catnovation under order no #CN1492. We attempted to contact Catnovation originally for support but they advised that all support issues were now being dealt with through yourselves. Please let me know if you need any other information.

The anti-pinch pins originally had some dust and debris on them, but no actual rust. I was very careful to ensure that I didn’t bend these in any way while cleaning. I’ve done everything I can think of, particularly as I had the same issue in my first litter robot, but the problem still persists.

Many thanks!

Hello @LPFigwort,

Thank you for your reply.

I think they meant the manufacturer (litter.robot) not us.

We recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to make use of your warranty in replacing the DFI sensor.

Here’s the link:

Sometimes the manufacturer forwards you back to us to do the replacement, if that’s the case, we will need a copy of the conversation you had with the manufacturer.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Sincerely,

Hi, we contacted [email protected] and they said we should contact our local distributor and gave us a link back to you guys (see below).
