Litter Robot Cycle Issue

The cycle does pause at the dump, for the usual amount of time (1 – 2 seconds), but then rather than rotate in the opposite direction (clockwise direction), it then continues to rotate anti-clockwise.
This will only last 1 – 2 seconds before stopping again, and then the yellow light begins to blink continuously (before this the yellow light is in its usual solid on ‘in progress’ state).
At this stage the Cycle, Empty, and Reset buttons have no effect. I then press the power button (just one single press), and I then see a rapid sequence of blue, then yellow, then red light, before the yellow light remains on as the globe continues to rotate in an anti-clockwise direction (this causes the guard / key spring to make a loud crack / popping sound).
This will continue to rotate all the way around (full 360) until it reaches the dump, and the above process is repeated as described, above.

Ive replaced pinch sensors and the IR waste sensors a couple of months ago.

Hello @gln ,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice.

Has this error started to occur right after replacing these parts?

If yes, please provide us with a picture like this:

If not, then the issue could be coming from 3 parts:

1- The contact pins.

We will need to see the 3 pairs of contact pins shown in the following videos:
Anti-Pinch Pins:

Bonnet’s Pin:

Base’s Pin:

No need to take them out of the robot, we only need to see them from the outside.

2- Magnets inside the globe.

Please test the magnets by putting any metallic object on these two areas circled in red and check if the magnets would attract the object or not:

3- Misplaced or defective hall-effect sensor:

If the magnets are okay then the issue is coming from the hall-effect sensor and it needs to be replaced.

We have attached a guide to show you how to replace this sensor:

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,
