Litter robot 4 sealing strip odours

Hello

I have a Litter Robot 4 under warranty and I contacted the official support (Whisker) because of the bad smell of the sealing strips of my unit.
They told me that I don’t need to purchase them, because is a replacement that they do under warranty, but that they can’t issue directly because I got my unit with you.

Is that the case? Or should I buy a new kit?
