I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.
Description:
When I turned it on, the yellow light is blinking 1 per second. No cycle and no other indicator.
Hardware concerned:
Software concerned:
Troubleshooting steps already taken:
Before I make any replacements, I make sure all the wire connection is tight and nothing is loose.
First I replaced the cat sensor. No effect.
I cleaned the bonnet 2 metal piece and making sure the contact is clean and touching each other,
Then I replaced the anti-pinch metal contact. Making sure that no dirt and it is touching each other. No effect.
I suspect is the DFI sensor, I replaced it. No effect.
I thought it might be the motor as normally after turning on, the robot will cycle. I replaced it. No effect.
Finally, I replaced the mainboard. No effect.
Please test if the night light is interrupting your cycle. Cover the light sensor which is located under the power button. If the night light turns on and the cycle is interrupted, then your bonnet needs to be replaced.
It is possible that the night-light is not even working, in this case, please remove the power from the robot and unclip the bonnet. Inside the bonnet you will see 2 wires connected to a small circuit. Make sure the wires are well connected to the circuit.
You are spot on. I covered the light sensor and the cycle starts when I powered the robot.
I have checked the wire in the bonnet and the 2 wires are well connected to the small circuit.
Does that mean I have to replace the small circuit? or is there anyway to turn off the nite light?
When the night light was on did it interrupt the cycle with yellow blinking light? Also, when you look at the LEDs in the night light, are all of them working?
To disable night light mode, you should hold Power button for at least 5 seconds.
When the night light is on, it does not interrupt the cycle. When it is not on, the cycle stop.
I saw 3 blue LED light up. How many are there?
I have disable the nite light and now the cycle stop, even covering the light sensor the cycle stop.
Observation: When I set the nite light On and OFF a couple of times. I notice that at one point when the robot is turned off, the nite lite is still ON permanently. Was that suppose to happen?
