Litter Robot 3 Yellow Blinking Light

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

Description:
Yellow blinking light 1 per second on Litter-Robot 3 Connect.

Hardware concerned:

Software concerned:

Troubleshooting steps already taken:
I’ve just purchased a Litter-Robot 3 Connect base:

And have set it up with my Litter-Robot 3 Open-Air bonnet, globe and power supply. My current setup is on a flat surface, and not up against a wall. I’ve also flexed the bonnet clips, and attempted to scrub the metal connectors clean. I noticed that the night light was not working (I covered the night light sensor next to the power button).

I purchased the new base because my original Litter-Robot 3 Open-Air was malfunctioning and blinking yellow light, even after I’ve replaced the cat sensor and anti-pinch metal pins.

Additional information:

What do I do next? I’ve been wrestling with this for the last 2 months.

Hi @junneyper and welcome to our forum.

Please check if night light mode is enabled.

Check the status of the Night Light function by covering
the light sensor (located above the Cycle button on the
Control Panel) to see if the Night Light comes on or not.
To turn the Night Light function off, press and hold the
Power button for about 5 seconds. The Night Light will
flash on, then off.

To turn the Night Light function on, press and hold the
Power button for about 5 seconds. The Night Light will
flash on and, depending on the ambient light, the Night
Light will either stay on (if low light) or turn off (if bright
light).

Hello!

No, the Night Light function seems to be malfunctioning. Multiple times, I’ve pressed and held the Power button for about 5 seconds, and nothing happens. The yellow light keeps blinking at a rate of 1 per second.

Does a malfunctioning bonnet cause the yellow light flashes?

Yes, if the night light inside the bonnet is defective, it would cause slowly blinking yellow light.

But, you should be able to disable night light and then it shouldn’t stop the cycle.

Sometimes, it is needed to point a flashing to a light sensor on the control board.

While the flashlight is illuminating light sensor, please try deactivating night light.
