I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.
Description: My Litter Robot 3 has stopped working. When I turn it on, the ready light flashes blue slowly. When I press reset, the cycling indicator flashes yellow quickly. The globe doesn’t cycle at all.
Hardware concerned: Litter Robot 3
Software concerned:
Troubleshooting steps already taken: Scoured the forums for potential fixes and tried them all. Removed the globe in order to clean the pinch sensors. This didn’t fix the issue.
You will need to clean the 2 green circuit boards of the DFI sensor with isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip to remove any rust or dust from the tiny pins of the chips located on these boards.
Here’s a video to help you locate them:
We will also need to see the 3 pairs of contact pins shown in the following videos:
Anti-Pinch Pins:
Bonnet’s Pin:
Base’s Pin:
No need to take them out of the robot, we only need to see them from the outside.
If you find this too complicated for you, you can send us the robot for repair under the warranty.
Thank you, we have cleaned the two DFI circuit boards as you described and the machine still doesn’t work unfortunately. I have attached photos of the requested pins. Please let us know next steps; maybe we do need to have it taken for repair.
