Litter Robot 3 flashing yellow light

Hi,
I have another problem with some similar symptoms to the link below (which became case: T498462)
The litter robot won’t cycle at all. When I turn the litter robot on, it immediately shows a flashing blue light. When I press the Reset button, the blue light stops and the yellow light is fast flashing. The only way to stop the yellow light flashing is to turn the litter robot off.
I’ve followed the troubleshooting guide and I have the anti-pinch spade connectors connected together to confirm it’s not the anti-pinch connections.

Thanks
Andrew

Continuing the discussion from Litter Robot 3 fast flashing yellow light:

Hi @andrewf2468 !

In that case, DFI sensor should be replaced.

Are you still in warranty?

Out of warranty currently

It’s not consistent, that I get the flashing blue light. Sometimes as soon as I turn on the Litter robot the yellow light is fast flashing (no blue flashing light at all) and it will not respond to any buttons. Turning off the Litter robot is the only way to stop the yellow light flashing. Is that still consistent with the DFI sensor needing to be replaced ?

Hey @andrewf2468 !

Just to be sure, we also recommend you to replace anti-pinch pins. The price is small and you can save on shipping since you will be ordering DFI sensor also.

Currently the anti-pinch pins are disconnected and the connectors are joined (so I thought that would mean I wouldn’t get the fast flashing yellow light). But I’ll replace the DFI sensor and the pins and connect them back up

Good. Let us know the result.

Fitting the new DFI sensor fixed the problem and the litter robot has been working fine since

You are welcome @andrewf2468

The same problem now seems to have re-occurred. I have sent a separate private message via the forum.

Thanks

Yeah, I think that the issue could be in the DFI sensor. You’d better try to replace it.

It doesn’t seem good that the brand new DFI sensor that I fitted in September fails after only about 3 months of use. Does anyone know if there is there a warranty on parts ? Also, I see they are out of stock so there is no way to get a replacement for several weeks.

Thanks
Andrew

We replied to your message in private support.

Generally, there is a 3 months warranty on Litter Robot spare parts.
