Litter Robot 3, first flashing yellow light and now solid yellow light

Hello @MNPistagnesi ,

there is nothing stucking in the motor gears.

Hello,

Could you please let us know what lights you see on the control panel (solid or blinking)?

In addition, we had suggested some components to replace. Have you replaced them?

If possible, a new video of the robot’s behavior would be very helpful for us to identify the issue. As requested, please send us a video starting with the robot in its home position, then press the Power button to start a cycle. We need to see the entire robot.

We look forward to your reply.

Kind regards

Hello @MNPistagnesi ,

I have already uploaded two videos showing how the Litter Robot behaves after being switched on. First, the yellow LED lights up continuously and after like 20-30 seconds the LEDs flash blue, yellow, and red again
nothing has changed since then.

Following your advice, I have now considered replacing the motor and just wanted to check again whether you are sure that it could be due to the motor being defective.

Hello,

We have only seen one video sent on October 30th, and we had mentioned that we can’t see the entire robot, which makes it difficult to analyze certain points.

Best regards,

Hello @MNPistagnesi ,

Okay, then repeat it again clearly and specifically: After switching on first, the yellow LED lights up continuously and after like 20-30 seconds the LEDs flash blue, yellow, and red again, the Litter Robot doesn’t move at all
nothing has changed since then.

Hello,

Yes, we understand the lights you see on the control panel; however, this does not show the robot’s actual behavior. Sometimes, certain actions the robot performs can give us more guidance on the issue.

Since you haven’t provided any additional videos, could you please inspect the following points and confirm each of your observations:

  • Does the globe manage to rotate during the 20–30 seconds before the lights start flashing, or does the globe not move at all?

  • The litter level should be below the guideline line of the globe.

  • Check in the motor compartment that the Hall effect sensor (the one located on the black plastic bracket) is still in place and securely fixed to its mount.

  • Also verify that the two magnets on the globe attract a magnetic object.

  • Check that the motor gear is not loose on the motor shaft. If it is loose, please tighten the screw.

Looking forward to your reply,

Kind regards,
