Hello,
I have one of the first Litter Robots 3 (order: 626102 - Litter-Robot 3 Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box EU )
The problem is that the robot start fast blinking blue light after turning on.
I disassemble it, cleaned thoroughly including the DFI sensor, checked pins - they looked in good condition, but still the flashing blue light was on.
Ordered from new DFI sensor (the small one), installed it and still the same situation - flashing blue light.
What I found is that the connect circuit board was hot on specific place (the back side of empty button). Is it possible this to be the reason and I have to change it or there can be another reason for the still flashing blue light?
If I have to change it which one to order?
I think it is the first one because my LR3 is not the Open Air one and I do not need wi-fi board for an app.
Just for information I have disassemble and assemble the robot around more than 10 times for thorough cleaning and I have no problem to do it. I just want to know what exactly to change to make it work again.
Hello Igor,
Thank you for the reply.
I just want to confirm about the version of Litter Robot 3.
My unit is made 2017 and is (as per my knowledge) from first version. I thought that second version is Open Air and third version is Connect. Am I right or no?
Hi Igor,
Ok now is clearer for me about the robots.
I will check the serial number later and will attach picture of it and picture of the circuit board.
After is clear the about the board will order it.
The board you have is the older version, which had the fourth connector in the end where you could connect little board with WiFi chip. But this is obsolete from a long time ago.
So a new circuit board for Litter-Robot 3 Open Air should work (unless you want to upgrade to Connect).
Hi @igor_X
Today I received the new board and replaced it. Now all is working normal.
Thank you for the help and wish you a great 2025 year
For anyone who needs help with FAST FLASHING BLUE LIGHT. If you changed the DFI Sensor and still have this problem consider changing the board. Still suggest to first contact support before proceeding with the purchase.
