Litter robot 3 connect has slow blue blinking light or fast yellow blinking light

Hi,

I have a litter robot 3 connect that has been mostly working well, but today it seems to have given up.

It flashes the blue light slowly (usually indicating tray is full although it’s empty now), then if I press the reset button, it starts flashing yellow quickly, which I believe indicates the pinch bar isn’t connecting.

I’ve tried cleaning the pinch bars, and even tried to ensure they were touching with a screwdriver, but nothing works. It basically does nothing now as I can’t even manually force it to rotate so am a bit stuck. I’ve had it for 6 months so it’s still under warranty.

Really not sure what to do now so any help would be appreciated.

Hello @dereks ,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice.

You need to clean the 2 green circuit boards of the DFI sensor with isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip to remove any rust or dust from the small pins on them.

We will also need to see the Anti-Pinch pins after you clean them with WD-40 and sandpaper.

Here’s a video to help you locate these parts:

If you find this too complicated for you, you can send us the robot for repair.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

Thanks for the response. My order number is 1097461. I’m afraid this seems far more complicated a procedure than I’d be capable of given it seems to be pulling it almost completely apart and reassembling so it would probably be best for me to send it in rather than risk making things worse.

Thanks

Hello @dereks ,

Thank you for your reply.

In this case, we recommend sending the robot to our repair center for inspection and repair.

You will need to send us the base, the bonnet, and the power supply of the robot. No need to ship the drawer and the globe.

You can place the globe over the waste drawer and use them as a stationary litter box until the rest of the robot gets back to you.

We suggest a box dimension of 24 “wide x 18” deep x 24 "high. The Bonnet should be put in the box upside down on top of the litter base.

If you wish to proceed with the repair process, please provide us with the following:

  • Shipping address.
  • Phone number.
  • Serial number located on the back of the robot.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Thanks, how do I send you my details privately?
