Litter Robot 3: Blue-light-blinking - no startup-cycle after plug in

Blue ligth blinking - after disconnecting from power and connecting after some minutes, blue light is blinking and no initial start‐up cycle. any idea?
I have read all troubleshooting guides and ordered a dfi set. But it would be fine (while waiting for the new dfi, if I could reset the litter for cycling)

Hello @StefanPelz ,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

You can try to clean the 2 green circuit boards and the 2 plastic brackets of the DFI sensor using isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip to remove any rust or dust from them.

If that didn’t help, the DFI sensor will have to be replaced first in order to make the robot functional again.

Let us know if there’s anything else we could assist you with.

Sincerely,

Hi, thanks for your answer! But I wrote, that I have read all troubleshooting guides and also ordered a new dfi (2nd time in 4 years!). After 2 hrs. cleaning without any success I ordered the dfi sensors. And: this will be the last time, if it will happen again, I will buy a competing product. Would you please answer my origin question?

Hello @StefanPelz ,

Thank you for your reply.

There is no method to bypass the DFI sensor and get the robot to function while the DFI sensor is defective.

The new DFI sensor that you have ordered will be the new version of the sensor which is fully enclosed inside plastic for better protection so it should last longer.

You would only need to wipe the plastic brackets every time you are replacing the waste bag to avoid having any dust covering the sensor.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Sincerely,
