Litter Robot 3 Blue and / or Yellow Light blinking

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

On my Litter Robot 3 the blue light is constantly blinking. When I hit reset the blue light turns off and the yellow light starts blinking fast. Another reset will move it to blue again.

I already cleaned the pinch detector contacts but this is not fixing the issue.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hello @barnie,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice.

This issue is related to the DFI sensor and the contact pins.

Please try to clean the 2 green circuit boards and the 2 plastic brackets of the DFI sensor using isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip to remove any rust or dust from them.

Here’s a video to help you locate these parts:

We will also need to see the 3 pairs of contact pins shown in the following videos:
Anti-Pinch Pins:

Bonnet’s Pin:

Base’s Pin:

No need to take them out of the robot, we only need to see them from the outside.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

I will get some isopropyl alcohol and do the cleaning. Might need a day or two to get this done.

Have a nice evening.

Hello @barnie,

Thank you for your reply.

Very well, take your time.

Awaiting your feedback after the cleaning.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

i did the cleaning. Afterwards the litterrobot did half of a turn and now its back in the same “blinking” state.

While cleaning I saw the following.

Maybe the circut board is broken ?

Regards Jens

Hello @barnie,

Thank you for your reply.

Have you tried to clean that part with isopropyl alcohol as we suggested?

If the cleaning didn’t help, the DFI sensor will need to be replaced.

We still need to see pictures of the 3 sets of pins so please send us pictures like the ones attached below:

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,
