Litter robot 3 - blinking yellow and red light

Hi,
My litter robot 3 has suddenly started rotating wrong way.
I tried cleaning all sensors and opening the panel to check hall effect sensor.
The wheel of the motor also feels very loose.
I am sharing a video in Google drive and a couple of pictures.
Please advice.
Thanks
Reuben

Hello @reuben ,

Welcome back to the RobotShop community!

The issue with the blinking yellow and red light is related to a defective motor. You will need to proceed with replacing it.

Additionally, you can replace the 3 contact pins on your robot, as they show signs of usual wear and tear. These pins should be replaced every 1-2 years as part of regular maintenance to ensure the robot functions properly. These components can rust or corrode over time due to ammonia exposure.

Here are explanatory videos on how to replace these components:

Hi,
My robot is still under warranty.
I had bought it with 18 month extended warranty too.
Please advise.
Thanks
Reuben

What about that it rotating the wrong way?
When reading online I came across hall sensor issues.
Please advise.
Thanks

Hello @reuben,

The robot is reversing because it detects a blockage in the motor.

We have noticed that there is slightly too much litter in the globe, which could be adding extra weight and may cause the blockage detection.

Please remove one or two cups of litter to ensure that the guideline inside the globe is visible. The litter should be below this line.

Test the robot afterward and let us know if it is working again.

Best regards,
