Litter Robot 3 and rapid flashing yellow light

Hi, I have a rapid flashing light on my Litter Robot 3 which is 8 months old. I have removed and cleaned the pinch connectors which are in tact with no corrosion, I have cleaned the sensors also and reset the machine but the flashing yellow light remains. Any advice?

Hello @Cgmids,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice.

Please answer the following questions:

1- Was the robot stuck at the dump position when the yellow light started to blink?
2- Does the blue light blink slowly if you press the “Reset” button?

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi, thanks for you reply.

Order number is: 800001857

No the robot was not stuck, I had turned it off to clean and the yellow flashing light came on after that. When I turn the machine on it does flash blue slowly but then when I press reset it immediately flashing fast / rapid yellow.

Thanks

Hello @Cgmids,

Thank you for your reply.

It seems that you haven’t ordered your robot from us directly so we will need a PDF copy of the invoice.

The issue you are having is related to the DFI sensor and the contact pins.

You will need to clean the 2 green circuit boards and the 2 plastic brackets of the DFI sensor using isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip to remove any rust or dust from them.

Here’s a video to help you locate these parts:

We will also need to see the 3 pairs of contact pins shown in the following videos:
Anti-Pinch Pins:

Bonnet’s Pin:

Base’s Pin:

No need to take them out of the robot, we only need to see them from the outside.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

HI

I have taken apart again, cleaned the DFI sensors which were already clean, cleaned the pinch detectors which are clean and intact with no corrosion and no rust. I have put back together and still not working.

No idea which pins or pictures you wanted so have sent everything I could see.

Ceri
