Lipo voltage monitoring

Hi experts,

Need some of your expert advice. I’ve got a rover that is powered by two lipos currently. 3S lipo for the FPV (Camera and Transmitter) and 4S lipo for the rest of the electronics. Ive got a remove which I control the rover with and it has an LCD to display various information. A crucial piece of information I want to display is the rover battery fuel gauge. If possible for both the batteries.

I have been looking at off-the-shelf fuel gauge IC technologies such as MAXIM DS2788 however they are in SMT form factor and it doesnt help with quick prototyping. All I need to see on the display is a VERY good ESTIMATE of how much voltage is left in the batteries (individual cell voltages are preferred) so I know its close to charge. Because lipos can be a pain to maintain if they are discharged below a certain voltage.

All suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I can think of two options here…
One, you could just hook up a decent battery monitor directly to the wiring, that should beep once the lipos dip to the charging point.
Or
Two, you could looking into how rc pilots do it and get a FrSky telemetry system. With this setup you can send battery, gps, altitude, speed, etc.

Just googled some…
