On the first use of this machine, The Linksprite DIY CNC 3 Axis Engraver Machine Spindel motor does not spin on its own and when you give it a start by twisting the spindle, it only runs at a very low RPM.
Is it possible this is a bad spindle motor? or some other known problem?
Other than that, the stepping motor and controls seem to work fine.
Sorry to hear you are encountering issues. Remove power from the machine and see if the spindle spins freely by hand. If so, remove the wires from the spindle motor and spply power directly (6V from a battery to start) to see if it spins. If it does, reconnect the wires and follow them back to the controller to see if the connection is good. Last, check the code to verify the spindle speed.
