This is a transistor based line following robot based on ®adioshack. It doesn't use a IC or Microcontroler. It uses a 2 optical sensors (IR LED and IR Phototransistor or photodiode) and 4 2N2222 NPN Transisitors. It also has a Zener Diode Diode to stop eletrical noise from the motors. With these simple electronic components you can make a robot with the capabilties of a microcontroler based line follower. NO PROGRAMING NEEDED! However I am make a modification that allows it to follow dark and light colored lines. It's a simple toggle switch that you can make. (https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/20968)
A special thanks to djhesit8 , my inpiration. Heres a link to the original Transistor Based Line Follower (https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/19027)

Since I am using a digital camera you can see the IR light (purple) Kool huh? :P
