I’m trying to raise the hood on my 62 corvette with a linear actuator
I have 16 inches to cover to mount the actuator and have hood opened to its furthest point
What actuator do I need. it must operate on 12 volts

To properly choose an actuator you need to know the a mount of travel needed as well as the torque required.
Also, you need to know the type of control you will use.
