I have attached an image to here of a schematic made in fritzing for a line following robot sorry it counldn't produce a schematic. We do Elementary School Robotics so bare with me. The robot works fine and can run it's course but...
My issue is when only one of the sensors activate it turns on both LED's! It should be that when an IR sensor is activated it switches the corresponding TIP125 and turns on the corresponding Motor and LED not both LEDs.
Hopefully to be more clear I want the circuit to only turn on the LED for the corresponding TIP when that motor is running, instead it turns on both whenever any motor is running. I rebuilt the circuit without the 555 timer motor speed controller and the problem goes away. What about the 555 timer causes this?
I have a very old program called CircuitMaker that can be used for schematic entry and simulation. The company is now out of business but “free” copies are to be found via Google. Without a schematic I suspect the Fritzing diagram is quite useless. I don’t know if your wires are color significant but I noticed that both RED, BLACK, & BLUE wires on the lower ground power rail.
Ya it kinda does look like red but it’s supposedly brown in fritzing. We use blue, black, and ocasionally brown for ground. Everyone seems to say they would need a circuit diagram to tell so I’ll look into that. I’ll look into CircuitMaker but I would be pretty amazed if it could tell me why something was happening.
