Lift/Lower Object with Hight Accuracy

Let’s say I want to lower an object from the ceiling on a wire/cable but want to specify with some degree of accuracy where to start/stop? For example: Stop when wire has unspooled 220cm, etc. Is there a device built to handle that?

Hello @AlexMaghen,

You could use a pulley, a timing belt, and a servo, or if you need a lot of precision a stepper motor.
