I receive a new lidar lite V3 last week, but unfortunately the range seem limited at 10/11 meters (in i2c and pwm mode).
I have another lidar lite V3 that is working perfectly up to 40 meters.
Is it a construction failure or it’s possible to configure the range?

Seems that range is also configurable. Try to read this operation manual and probably you will find a solution.
If not, I guess your device is in warranty period, so you can ask your distributor for help or even return the product.
