Lidar Lite V3 divergence planes

The divergence of the LIDAR Lite v3 is shown as 2 mRadians by 4 mRadians. In which plane is the beam widest? - eg assuming the LIDAR is mounted with the lenses side by side, will there be a wider zone of detection in the horizontal plane or in the vertical plane?

Actually, the official specs for divergence were revised by the manufacturer to 8 mRadians, as you can see in the manual, page 2. Therefore, it should be roughly the same both horizontally and vertically.

Thanks Sebastien, That makes a lot more sense, A circular beam- not an ellipse.( and less resolution- but bit more vibration proof) .
