LIdar lite V2/V3 setup of the correlation record length

Hi everyone,

I am using lidar lite v2 and v3 for my master thesis project and need to set it up so that it performs as I need it. I need to read from the lidar every 6ms. I need to use single reading mode, i.e. send 0x04 to 0x00 to initiate measurement and after 6ms read the measured value, and again send 0x04 to 0x00 and so on. However, I need to be sure that the lidar has managed to measure new distance, so that I am not reading old values without knowing it.

In the documentation I have read that the measurement bursts occur every 50-100 us depending on the length of correlation record.

*My question is: how do I calculate the interval of the bursts provided the length of the correlation record is X?

I know that if I set the register 0x02 (max. acquisition count) to 100 counts of integrations and the burst interval would be 60 us, then I would be able to get the maximum acquisition time to be 6 ms, which is what I need. But this is under the condition that the length of the correlation record is such, that the bursts occur every 60 us. So that is why I need to know how to recalculate the value of the length of correlation record into the burst interval, so that I can accordingly set the values of the length of the correlation record register (0x03) and the max. acq.count (0x02).

Note: this info I found in the documentation for the V2 lidar, the length of correlation record is set in the register 0x03. However, in the documentation of V3 lidar, there is no mention of the register 0x03. Is it then also possible to set the length of the correlation record in the new lidar V3 in the register 0x03?

Thanks for any answer…
