Lidar is short for Light Detection And Ranging .A lidar system that uses lasers as a detection method, emitting a beam to detect various feature such as the position, angle of the target. Lidar is like the "eyes" of a robot, helping a robot perceive its surroundings, plan its driving route, and control the robot to reach its intended destination. It can be said that lidar is one of the important hardware configurations that help robots achieve high-level navigation functions.
