LEGO Linear Actuator | RobotShop Community

LEGO has recently come out with a new linear actuator piece as part of their new Power Function sets. The new actuators have a movement range of 5 studs, or about 1.6 in (4cm), which correspond to 26 full revolutions of the input shaft. The actuators also have a built in clutch mechanism to

Okay, let me ask, since I don’t know … would the suggested Firgelli Tech parts be FLL Competition “allowed” ? I have a hunch … just a hunch … they are not “true” Legos and would therefore be disallowed. Thoughts ?

We suggest the Firgelli Tech LEGO actuators from RobotShop.

I ordered two of the Linear Actuators ($15) from Lego education.

They don’t clutch, though ! They keep trying to spin even when
fully expended/retracted. Until the torque causes the assembled
Lego construct driving it to break apart.

Anyone know where to by an actuator that clutches, or a clutch
upgrade kit ? Lego education told me to buy a couple of the
white coupling gears (part #6036892) that clutch.

I will pop around the aforementioned posted links too. Hope
I get lucky. Thanks.

I found the LA at Lego education. They sell it with two mounting components.

Again, they want $15 for the kit. They are a good resource for technic stuff, prices are in line with the Lego shop, just an unusual offering.

$8-15 each, depending on where you live. Much cheaper in Europe for some reason.

are you sure because I looked all over that website and didn’t find anything

Goofy,
The actuators appear in LEGO sets Excavator 8294 and Telescopic Handler 8295. If you just want the actuator, looks like you can buy them off of BrickLink.

I´m searching for this as extra part for my creations …
cant find it on the lego hompage
Article / Spare part number???
distributors??

Nice. Where can I buy them? Did not see them on the lego web.

Nice design of linear actuator. And it’s good that it can be use as an alternative to other actuator that is too much expensive.

How is it powered, how much weigh can it lift, how fast or slow ii and how far does it extend

Unfortunately these actuators are no longer available, so we do not have the specs.
