Legged or Wheeled?

Here’s a robot that gets around almost everything!

That’s pretty cool! It’s a bit of a shame that he used the wheels like 95% of the time although the “seal” like motion at the end was pretty clever (but I’m not sure if that would work on a more uneven surface - I don’t think a rug counts as an uneven surface ) and I like how it kept transforming to get up the slopes. Was the robot using HS-422 servos? If so, are they strong enough for that?

As cool as that thing is, the walking motion made me want to throw up. :frowning:

Why was the guy making it bend its knees inwards? That was pretty weird. Also, I found this robot which I think is pretty cool:

That’s creative!

A lot of “shuffling” going on!

I think balhan takes the win in this category. I’ve seen a few of these kinds of robot out there, there was one from Japan where there were multiple wheels and each wheel acted like a centipede’s legs when in walking mode.

But this guy Balhan, on youtube, seriously takes this win:

I don’t think it’s the best at walking, but the transition from car to robot form will make any Transformers fan drool…

I am so drooling over that - it’s AWESOME!!! :open_mouth:
