I assembled the AH3R my labmate left in the lab and try to move it. I did everything the tutorial said. It did move but like a drunk spider. I tried body low position in default ps2 controller setting (R2) and found left legs are pushing the body up while right legs are lowing down. It seems to me the left legs vertical joints are moving opposite direction.
What should be the problem probably I did wrong?
Also I would like to confirm are those called horizontal, vertical, and knee joints from the body to the leg tip?
Thanks so much~
hmmâŚsounds to me like you havenât calibrated the servos yet. Have you followed the tutorial for centering all the servoâs before assembly?
Iâve also heard this happening when you have the servos facing the wrong direction. Make sure the servo horns are all facing the same direction otherwise they will move in the opposite direction of the code.
Thanks for quick reply~
I did calibrate the servos using power pod and saved the setting. And then I use the master program to generate the .bas file and then use the IDE to program basic atom 28. Those are the procedures, right?
here is the picture of low down body position:

It doesnât make sense that all right legs are doing well but not the left legs⌠all legs are using the same directions.
Hi Diora,
A quick look at youĂ¢ââââ¢re picture tells me that youĂ¢ââââ¢ve got all your legs assembled as left legs. Take a good look at this picture from the LM site to see that you need 3 left and 3 right legs.
Also check Figure 5 of the build tutorial.
So what you need to do is reassemble 3 legs to be right legs. The servo will point and rotate in the opposite direction.
Good luck,
Xan
Thanks Xan! It would be the first thing I would do tomorrow after I reach the lab. Great~~~~~
All is correct except we use the robots perspective of right and left. So he actually built all right legs. Nomenclature aside⌠Rebuild with all of the vertical servo horns facing the front of the bot and youâre golden!
Youâre totally ârightâ about this
My mistake!
