LC04A : uni- or bi-directional?

The LC04A module is called a “level converter”, and the example given and board markings make it look like it has 2 channels of HV->LV shifting, and 2 channels of LV->HV shifting. The example in the data sheet/manual looks this way too, with pins that are either transmitting to or receiving from a different voltage level device

However, the applications to SPI and I2C buses (one of the stated applications of this module) requires bi-directional conversion, ie LV->HV or HV->LV on each of the channels.

Could someone please clarify if the LC04A is bidirectional on each channel?

The LC04A is bidirectional. Any 3.3V digital signal on LT1, LR1, LT2 or LR2 will be converted to 5V on HT1, HR1, HT2 or HR2 respectively and vice versa, any 5V digital signal on HT1, HR1, HT2 or HR2 will be converted to 3.3V signal on LT1, LR1, LT2 or LR2
