When I unboxed my LavvieBot I found that piece was broken and everything, including the waste drawer cover was thrown into the litter tray… not nicely tucked away in the waste drawer like the unboxing video. I sent in pics and question and a support ticket was created but it’s with the Sales Department… Can someone who is Tech, get that information and help me out?
It’s okay… I managed to fix it…at least I think so… unfortunately the cats don’t really want to use it… but I’ll give them time. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks!
Did your cats ever end up using this? None of mine will use it. Mine arrived the same way with everything thrown inside and not tucked away in the litter drawer.
I opened the side panel to that it feels roomier and it has been used occasionally, but it’s still not the preferred place. We’ll see how it goes.
Hi guys!
Since you are protected by the manufacturer’s 90 Day Money-Back Guarantee we suggest that you try the following “tips” to get your cats to use the Litter-Robot. Sometimes it takes time but, it is certainly worth the try.
If you see no improvements in a few weeks then you may contact us for the return of your robot and we will then gladly send you RMA information accordingly.
We have customer that have used the penny trick in this case. Hang a penny with a string so it hangs in the opening of the Litter-Robot. This will tingle the cats back to back sure that it goes farther inside the Litter-Robot and turns around until the cat gets used to turning around automatically when entering the Litter-Robot.
-
When starting out with the Litter-Robot leave it turned OFF. Wait until you see evidence of consistent use before turning it on and leaving it in automatic mode. If a clean cycle is required during the acclimation period, just run the cycle manually by turning the unit ON and then OFF again after the cycle has completed. Once you feel your cat is comfortable using the Litter-Robot you can then resume the automatic mode (leaving the unit ON).
-
Keep the old litter box in the same room or next to the Litter Robot and let it fill up. This will give your cat a choice between the clean Litter-Robot and a not so clean litter box.
-
Entice your cat to approach the litter-robot by using some catnip or it’s favorite treat.
-
Add a scoop of litter from the old litter box in order to provide a familiar smell.
We hope this helps.
