Is there a photocell that will react to a typical laser pointer beam (class 3)within about a 60th of a second?
Most CDS photocells should produce a change in resistance using a laser pointer. It is the 1/60th of a second I am not sure about.
This would definately need to be verified in the specifications (some mention “quick response”). I am not sure if CDS photocell manufacturers include this data however. If not, this is something that may require experimentation.
