Laser Sensor Response Time

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

I read the datasheet and found that this sensor refreshes every 40ms. Does this mean that the time for the sensor to take a measurement is 40ms?

It would kinda help if we knew what sensor. Maybe you could provide a link to it?
