I would like to know whether with your laser scanners we can get the internal defects of a part? OR it gives only the external geometry?
I have some graphite plates with some holes drilled into the plate and for quality control purposes I would like to check the position, direction and diameter of the holes.

Hi Kamran,
Most of our laser products are meant for some kind of distance measurement. The remaining ones are usually for creating proximity switches.
That being said, there are certainly some good alternatives that are possible, such as using a computer or SBC (Single Board Computer, ex: Raspberry Pi) and cameras and use computer vision algorithms (ex: OpenCV).
This would most likely be a cost effective of measuring position/direction/diameter of the holes.
