Lab Rat

Line Tracking Mouse is a great intro into robotic. It teaches all the basics of robotics and creating gearboxes. It is available at Jameco Electronics for $22.95 wiithout creating the toggle switch. without shipping. However I am thinking of making one modification. I would insert a line following toggles switch; therefor it would be able to follow light and dark lines. Right now it only follow dark lines on a light surface.

To detect the line, Mickey uses 3) Ir interupter sensors. The brains of the robot is a em78p156ep IC chip. It is powered by 4) AA batteries. Also what is cool is that you can either clap or snap and the robot will begin following the line! You can get the full part list and instruction manuel by clicking on the 1st link. You can purchase it by pressing on the second link. It is worth buying. It is one of the most easy, enjoyable and rewarding builds. It is also cheap!

I hope soon to add some videos and some information on how to build and connect the line following toggle switch.

  • CPU: em78p156ep IC
  • Power source: 4) AA batteries
  • Sensors / input devices: IR sensors
  • Target environment: indoors

Yes

But I am going to modify it so it isall around better. A modification that I am making is the line following toggle switch which enables it to follow dark and light lines. I may make some other modifications that will be posted later. Also that would be considered a “project” I think this should stay here for begginers.

Let’s make robots not Let’s

Let’s make robots not Let’s buy robots. I would post it as a tip.

Technicaly

Technically speaking I am making it. I am only using it as a base for a greater line following robot. It’s just cheaper than buying all the parts that I was going to buy any ways. Maybe LMR should make a modification section. LOLz :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not a robot, and you

It’s not a robot, and you don’t have anything yet. Not a robot page.
