Jumpy ALD5 Robot Arm

I’m checking out my robot arms after a semester class.

One of the ALD5 robot arms is real jerky and jumping anytime the elbow motor is engaged with FlowArm. My other robot arms seem to function properly and this one appears to be built the same way. Any suggestions?

If one robot arm operates differently than another under the same circumstances, then it may be an issue with the servo itself. It may have happened when trying to lift up too heavy a payload, or simply something happened internally. If it’s proving to be quite an issue, each of the servos in the arms are sold separately and are easily replaced. The AL5D uses the following servo in the arm:

You can also check to see if FlowArm is actually causing the issue by downloading the SSC-32 Servo Sequencer Utility and operating the servos one at a time:
