Johnny 5 moving fast

I’ve encountered another problem. I have assembled my Johnny 5 and have installed the blue tooth. When I try to play a sequence stored in my laptop, Johnny moves really fast. I don’t know how to slow the speed down. It seems that if it keeps doing this, it’s going to brake itself. How can I slow the speed down? I’ve tried the “Advance Play Module” and I keep increasing the time percent everytime. It seems that it doesn’t solve the problem.

I’m assuming that you’re talking about the chassis moving too quickly. Try using pulse values that are closer to 1500. The speed that the motors will go is based off the pulse width, not the time. Increasing the time may cause the robot to accelerate more slowly, but it will not decrease the top speed.

This is the second time my base servo breaks. I have to now order a new one. How do you adjust the pulse?

Hello Ivan,

After reading your post again it sounds like you are having trouble with the servos moving too fast, or unreliably. You also stated you are using bluetooth to connect the bot to your PC. Please look carefully at the SEQ users manual for the topic of timeouts. It’s probable that SEQ needs to be fine tuned to talk to your bluetooth connection.
