Hi @meinsen, and welcome to the forum!

I’ve haven’t used it myself, but as I can see, it has positive feedback by many customers:

In which application are you going to use it?

rComputer Vision Project /Object Recognition
I saw the reviews but they don’t say what board they used with the camera. It’s sold as Raspberry Pi camera module -> not sure if it woks with jetson nano.

Seems from this article https://www.arducam.com/arducam-introduces-8mp-imx219-auto-focus-wide-angle-zero-distortion-and-spy-camera-to-the-nvidia-jetson-nano/ that it is not compatible.

Then, I would sugeest this one: https://www.arducam.com/product/b0181-arducam-imx219-af-programmable-auto-focus-camera-module-nvidia-jetson-nano/#faq

hi

thanks for the links. do you have experience with the autofocus implementation (speed, cpu load) on the jetson nano?

my approach would be to capture continously in reduced res with higher frame rate and in specific situation switch to high res, low frame rate.
high res can be downsampled to low res, but the frame rate drops. does the autofocus algorithm adapt to changing frame rates / have a minimum frame rate?

sorry @meinsen, I have no experience with it

Does this camera have built in auto-focus ability? The description states that it has adjustable focus…

define ability

the above suggested one should have programmable auto-focus as the link says https://www.arducam.com/product/b0181-arducam-imx219-af-programmable-auto-focus-camera-module-nvidia-jetson-nano

that fits adjustable focus

if you program the focus to adjust autmatically its auto focus

i think i saw a sdk mentioned. but i don’t now it (quality, for what boards, …)
