Jester is a stand up guy!

lol, and thats the Carma Ive been taught!

What happened with Canada Post today?

lol

tears gas grenades break through the window and swat team breaks door down MOVE MOVE MOVE!!!

takes little kid in custody later that day…*light in iterrogation room goes onto little kid…“so, do you have it, WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR!”

xD, the kid would need counseling afterwards thoguh

It builds character.

than angry detective says “OK, you can have your Power Ranger Doll back if you tell us where it is and who sent you! I can be a good cop or a bad cop!” :smiling_imp: :imp:

Sometimes I think you guys would crack if questioned… :open_mouth:

The lady told me that a driver stopped at the house and asked about the ESC but the they said they don’t have it. They also said they didn’t open the box but that is a lie since CanadaPost told me it was opened. And there is 3 different kinds of tape holding it together.

I asked about filing a claim and gave her your information but she said only the shipper can file a claim. I was told I can’t file unless I was the shipper and used a CanadaPost shipping method. She said she would look into it though.

So I’m going to get a friend of mine in the ERT for the Police Service to stop by the house and insist they look around for the item.

I’ll let you know if anything turns up.

and now he will need at least 15 000$ for psychiatry help

that the cost when you steal a 260lb guy’s ESC.

You guys are funny. I would never resort to violence…really…no I’m serious…
Did I mention I’ve been a freestyle fighter for almost 8 years.

I really don’t condone violence unless it is absolutely necessary. Most problems can be resolved by outwitting the person and confusing them to the point where they walk away. Or by talking things out.

Anyways, I did some slow forward flight with the swift today. It’s a blistering -2 degrees here  so I though it would be a good day to fly.

Here are some pics of her before her first flight.

OMG! That is HOT! OUCH!

(talking about the heli BTW! )

Thanks. It’s a hair under 3 feet long with a rotor diameter of 4 feet. I’m running the Aveox 36/30/2 I got from Jester, a Castle Creations Phoenix 80 ESC at 80A Cont./120A Max, a 20C 9000mAh 6S3P 22.2V 180Amp lipo, 7 Channel JR receiver, Futaba GY240 Gyro, Hitec Servos, and a Medusa BEC. I’m using my JR 9303 Transmitter cause it’s great for setting up the mixing and the 120 deg swashplate.

She seems to have loads of power. I’m going to build a 5S pack instead cause the 6S is bringing my head speed over 2500. I’d be happy around 2100. I didn’t do any inverted flight but some foward backward, some loops and a few rolls. It seems to have power to spare and auto-rotates great. I’ll try to get someone to video the next flight and I’ll really wring it out.

Thanks Jester!

Okay… So where are the pictures from after the first flight?

LOL, leave it to you to read too much into the statement.

I just didn’t take any.

This reminds me of my chopper I had back in 1990. It was a Kyosho Concept 30 hellicopter that had a .32FH OS nitro engine. I was a pro at hovering it at 3 feet or even 8 feet off the ground. I could also land it anywhere I wanted, but I never really took the thing out of my small back yard to try to learn how to fly it around. I did try to slowly fly it in a tight circle, but it made me nervous.

It eventually became unstable for some reason. It would shake badly at half thottle and the gyro would sometimes “hunt” making it move back and forth and also I had to trim the boom full right to keep it straight. I kept it for a few years after getting married and then gave the whole thing to a co worker my wife worked with, but I kept the radio, servos, and engine. I just got sick of it not working right. Looing back though, I think part of the problem was using solid wood blades. I think those after market blades were way to heavy causing excessive torque on the chassis.

ohhh… I’ve had planes do that to me. I had one that was so mean I left it in the truck until it was dark and then snuck the parts into the dumpster so the neighbors wouldn’t see.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Actually that motor is right at home with your power setup. Try getting a smaller pinion. 2100 -2300 rpm is excellent. !
I couldn’t find any grass stains… -10 is great for inverted.!lol

Looks Great!

I think I have a 9 and a 10 tooth 24 pitch pinions around. I just have to look. I spooled it up with a 5S pack and it tops at 2240 rpm. I’m pretty happy with that. I’m going to try it again tomorrow and this time, give her a good workout.

2240rpm sounds perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. Are your throws-10-+10?
All Aveox motors reguire a few drops of oil in the sealed bearings. If you look from time to time you will see it throws oil out.The motors a workhorse!

Just drop oil on the case, it will drip down in. Flip the heli over and do the other.
I have seen one of these simply seperate the bearing caps from the can from a siezed bearing. It was nasty because the cap ripped out and flew rather far.
I am glad you are have fun with it!
I cleaned up the Hirobo today and found the belt is split. I changed out the tail bearings also, they felt sloppy. I see on the rods you put tubing on them but the tubing is loose, Is that how the upgrade is supposed to be? I have never seen that. Also what brand and percent fuel did you run through it? I am eager to fly since this weekend we will be in the 50’s.

I had no idea the belt was cracked and I don’t even have a spare I could send you.

The aluminum tubes are to stiffen the plastic pushrods. They aren’t an upgrade but just something I do to all my Hirobo Helis. The Hirobo plastic pushrods can sometimes collapse under extreme pressures.

I was running 20% PowerMaster.

You might have to track the main main blades as well. When I put the new blades on, I balanced them but they were never spooled up. So double check the tracking.

I’m running -6/+8 and -12/+12 on the dual rates. I’ve only test flown it on -6/+8 cause the elevator pushrod on the cyclic binds with the Swashplate guide at the base when it’s at full forward on anything over +8. I have to trim it down yet.

Yesterday I talked to Canada Post again and she said that the house called to notify them they had an item from the parcel. Meaning that Canada Post never even actually tried to contact them.

She said they are dropping the item off at the main branch downtown and they will mail it to me. Apparently, I can’t go pick it up. I don’t know what it is, maybe just a servo spacer or something but hopefully the esc.

I’ll let you know next week when it gets here.
