IZIRobot ER-6 programming question(s)

I am helping someone remotely and do not have the IZIrobot in front of me.

First, the Ma-Vin programing software, does anyone know the lastest version? or is there only one version? is there a place to down load the software?

I am a little unsure of the switch input module. There are 3 switches on the module, do you program each switch individually, with a different switch active in different portions of the program.

The motor, is there a way to program a distance it runs straight before doing something else or is it only object avoidance/ line tracing.

thanks,

Dale

Thanks for the links. I downloaded the software and was able to remotely help the person with the IZIRobot. The manual just a different version of the other two I have found. All of which do not go into detail on the motor and the switch input module. It was helpful but did not answer my specific questions.

Thanks anyway.

Dale

The latest release seems to be Mavin 2.0 Beta.

We suggest you go through the ER-6 manual. They explain how everything works.

Hi Dale,

The motors do not appear to have encoders on them to allow measurement of distance traveled. For the tactile switch module, it should have 3 independant switches but we can not confirm if in software you can differentiate between the 3. In theory you should be able to.
