finally I’ve finished the body cover for Phoenix hexapod…
All parts hare made by hand and designed for fit perfectly with hexapod mechanics leaving all legs free to move without any conflict;giving also the possibility to put and remove easily all parts by same plastic and flexible clips and neodimium magnets.
feel free to judge my work and tell me council for same improvements, for example how make visible the led of ps control wireless module or add same ‘elastic skin’ beetween same bodyparts.
I like it! Great Job.
Looks very nice on the beach.

Whoa! Fantastic, which wind tunnel did you use to design them Really like the beach pictures!
As for the led’s for the wireless; I’d be tempted to use separate high intensity ones instead; this phoenix deserves the ability to dazzle onlookers (not that it doesn’t yet…)

WOW!!! It looks like a flatter version of Morphex!
What a difference a few properly sized and shaped plastic parts can make.
If it is Italian, where are the hot cat eye sunglasses?
Nice threads for a 'bot! Where/when can I get a set?

Simply amazing…
Love the custom parts/covers! The best I’ve seen so far.
More details about how you made them and what they are made of would be appreciated.
Great work!
I love your work! Having a set of good shaped body parts makes a huge difference!
I would also love to see a detailed ‘how to’ so I can give this a try some day.
Also nice pictures, love the beach pics!

Thanx a lot for all your comment,i see that my work is appretiacet…that make me happy;-)
I designed all parts thinking to give a little of elegance ( with winding lines ) and without make it clumsy, so for that the choise to leave uncovered same mechanical parts.
I made 2 type of cover…one white and one black thermocromatic color( became white with warm)
The cover is made rom plastic sheet modelled with thermophorming tecnic insted all models are maded in resind by hand!
I’ll post other pics soon about it
During the realization i met 2 problems:
- The busy space of all electronic ( bb,ssc, lipo 3600a and regulator, wifi module, electr battery,)…I wanted five to the central body a low profile…to I did same modifications putting all inside the main frame;-)…a really ‘tetris work’!
- Make visible the module leds…without hacking the possibily to put or remove the cover in a sedond without a screw ( thanx to noedimium magnets)…for that I still working to same ideas…maybe with optical fiber…
neodymium magnets! Nice way to conceal the screws!
“The cover is made rom plastic sheet modelled with thermophorming tecnic” I’d like to hear more about that. Fantastic results!

Absolutely beautiful. I love your photos of it, awesome pics of it on the beach…
Thanx Tom!
Now I’m working at another project, when it will be finished I put the pics;-)!!
Hell yeah, this is great!
Sorry for the slight necropost but that looks excellent
I also like the idea of flexible joint covers in fabric or rubber, it would look very Patlabor
Keep it up, I can’t wait to see more!
Thanx a lot!!!
I’m happy that you like my work!
