Is there any remote controller out there for robots?

Hi

 

I have built a robot but I need a good Remote Controller. The definition of good remote for me is:

* Capability to send any sort of data, such as temperature, motor speed, GPS location and so on.

* 2 joysticks or throttles 

* LCD of some sort for showing information

*Easy to manipulate data on the robot side. I hate the RC remote receiver outputs. They waste one good I/O and processing power.

Has anyone come across anything like this? If you have never seen anything like this do you suggest that I just use a R/C remote control?

R/C remotes are pretty

R/C remotes are pretty expensive but are probably available to your specs.  They also are designed for long range which you probably don’t need but will be paying for.

You could also go to your phone maybe with bluetooth assuming the range was ok.  Or you need to build one so you will get exactly what you want.  Have fun!
