Is the Cytron SmartDriveDuo Smart Dual Channel 60A Motor Driver a regenerative drive?

Is the Cytron SmartDriveDuo Smart Dual Channel 60A Motor Driver a regenerative motor drive? I am comparing it to other drives and didn’t see where it said if it is regenerative or not?

Thanks

also would there be any issue using this for a home made ride on electric toy (Its more like an electric go kart) All the descriptions seems to target zero turn robot style applications? is all the parameters programmable like the Sabertooth Dual 2x32A 6V-24V Regenerative Motor Driver?

Hello again,

There will be no issue as long as the motors you use are compatible with the driver, here are some specs to have in mind:

  • Bidirectional control for dual brushed DC motor.
  • Support motor voltage from 10V to 45V.
  • Maximum current up to 100A peak (1 second), 60A continuously, each channel

You can find all the specifications in the user manual.

About the programmable parameters I suggest checking out the same manual I mentioned before, there you will find all the information you need.
