Is it normal for the motors to buzz at times?

I just finished assembling the AL5D and made sure that the connections were sufficiently tight that the arm can retain a 90 degree angle on its own without power yet not so tight that the motors would have problems moving it. I calibrated everything and all the parts are centering and moving just fine, but the problem I have is that I hear a buzzing sound from one or more of the servos when the arm is at rest, indicating to me that it’s still experiencing some stress. I can fix this at times by nudging it with my hand but I was wondering if this is normal or if I need to tweak the setup, and if tweaking is necessary, what should I do?

Sorry if this question has been posted before, I looked for a forum search facility but couldn’t find one.

This should not be the case - the arm should fall if there are no servos installed. The brackets simply need to be kept aligned.
Second, have you installed the springs?

I had them loose before and still had the buzzing but I’ll loosen them up a little bit until the arm falls and try again.
As for the springs, yes, I’ve installed them.

I’ll post a video when I get home but I’m still left wondering if buzzing is normal or not.

In order to maintain a position, the servos are constantly reading and updating their position. Some buzzing is to be expected.
