iRobot Roomba model 411-419 Status light

I have a 400-series Roomba vacuum (from the PDF version of the User Manaul I found online, it’s one of the 411-419 models, based on the buttons and lights on the top of the unit, but I don’t know how to figure out specifically which of those models I have). My question is about the Status light on the top of the vacuum. When I run the vacuum, after the battery gets low and it plays its low battery tones, I notice that the Status light is amber. What does that mean?

Hi,

An amber light means it’s partially discharged. If you have not replaced the battery within the last year, we would suggest you to do so.

The issue is likely caused by a battery which is near its end of life. Usually, a battery can last between 1 to 2 years with proper care.

Sincerely,

The battery is definitely more than 2 years old, so you’re right, it probably needs to be replaced. Thank you for confirming my suspicion.
