Problems

Servos at the shoulder arent strong enough. I would get stronger ones but i cannot afford two servos for $20-$50 each. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Possibly attaching some sort of springs mentined by Salvage. Thankyou Salvage.

I have 5 different things to control, elbow, shoulder, base rotate, claw rotate, and claw. But i only have 2 joysticks to control 2 of those. I could add another joystick but i dont think that there is room on the picaxe.

Base needs to be supported with a lazy susan bearing. I need to order one.

I would like to thhank everyone at LMR for there help especially Chris the Carpenter, Grog, Salvage Knightrider and everyone else who hellped me.

 Thanks for viewing.

Great job!

I’m very glad to see everything come together so well. I think that I’m going to take apart my old playstion controller to get that part you used. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to see it in action.

Thanks

Yea…the playstation setup is really easy. Just solder a few wires and your good. I will get a video up soon.

Thanks MarkusB

Thanks MarkusB…I heard about the eproom thing and that sounds like it would be pretty cool.

Good idea with the

Good idea with the joysticks. I am planning something similar, storing different movements in an eeprom. I have an old RC Tx with pot joysticks.

Some ideas

Servos at the shoulder arent strong enough. I would get stronger ones but i cannot afford two servos for $20-$50 each. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

You are running all servos from 4 x 1.5V AA batteries. This is not recommanded as all the servos draw a lot of current. Get another power source. The 2 shoulder servos should have enough torque at 6V. Additional don’t move the shoulder to much down, you can also use a spring or counter weight.

Combine movements. Shoulder and forearm for example. Shoulder back, forearm more down etc. Or use both joysticks to control the turn table. Both joysticks to the left, table turn left, both joysticks to the right, turn table turn right, etc.

Ok i was thinking of those

Ok i was thinking of those ideas but have had time to test them. And also i realized that it works ok when i have new batteries the other ones were dead. I need to get a rechargable battery pack soon.
