Last Saturday I held a workshop in Xinchejian, our Hackerspace in Shanghai. The workshop was about to build an Insect bot mini.
I had 15 people attending and everything went well. Some battery cables were to short but we could manage this. Doing a workshop with kids is a challenge. You want to tell them again and again to NOT do something before you said so. However, that happens every time so some robots did not work first after switching them on...after my examination i connected the servos to the right pin and also the sensor cable needed to be switched. Anyway, not only the kids did that, daddies did that as well :-) But I am fully understanding them, because it's sooo exciting :-)))
