[Info] A-gripper Lynxmotion and handlers

Hi all

I am a engineering student and i am perfect newbie on this forum and in robotics.
I am looking for much information as you can on this lynxmotion grip :

robotshop.com/en/lynxmotion- … servo.html
lynxmotion.com/images/html/build178.htm

My principal question are

  1. Is it possible to use it without the wrist rotate part/panel ?
  2. what are the exact dimensions of this gripper ?
  3. what is the total weight (gripper + Hitec actuator) without the wrist rotate panel ?

If someone of you already use it, it would be cool to share opinions about it,

I am also looking for any others handlers of smaller dimensions (if you have an idea) but it’s quite hard to find :frowning:

thanks a lot,

I like this one I built:

The mounting is perpendicular to the gripper - you can use a normal servo or find another way to attach it to your robot.

The gripper can open up to 1.875". When fully open, the gripper length is ~2.95" (75mm) and the jaw open for ~1.875" (48mm). Closed gripper length is ~3.54" (90mm).

Roughly 0.15 pounds.

If you can tell us a bit more about what you would like to do, perhaps we can suggest alternative products.

Hi, thanks for fast replying !

i am working on a robotic project (articulated arm) and i want to drag and drop cylindrical object (30 mm diameter and about 50 g weight). I am just looking for the smallest gripper (90 mm length is limit) as possible in a reasonnable price (under 60 €). Others solutions are welcome of course !

weight of the servo included ? :open_mouth:

We offer quite a few grippers:

lynxmotion.com/p-826-a-style-gripper.aspx
lynxmotion.com/p-438-robot-h … ervos.aspx

Via RobotShop:

Hope this gives you some ideas.

Ok thanks,

i already have a look at them. It’s quite interesting but I am still looking for something smaller/lighter if it’s possible. If someone knows please say ! (even from another mark or with another components to achieve the handling part)

We just entered this product via RobotShop
robotshop.com/en/micro-gripp … servo.html
Servo sold separately.
